Landforms The Gulf Coastal Plains has lots of landforms like the Balcones Fault, the Rio Grande River, the Balcones Escarpment (picture on the right), and the Colorado River. Since the Gulf Coastal Plains is near the gulf, it also has wet marshes, and beaches. Plains and forests also can be found in this immense region.
